MEDFORD, OR - June 2009 - Core President Scott Anderson traveled to Vancouver, WA June 4 and 5 for the annual Northwest Security Professionals Conference to enhance Core’s own security offerings and stay on the cutting edge of new technology.
The conference centered around a theme of convergence, which brings the two worlds of physical and information security together, allowing companies to streamline security operations and increase the protection of their physical and intellectual property. Conference speakers highlighted the future of security, red flags of identity theft and fraud, and prevention strategies and tools, with input from law enforcement officials and top banking executives from all over the West Coast.
Among the conference attendees was Cook Security Group, one of Core Business Service’s industry partners and a specialist in electronic security. Cook provides security systems that include alarms, surveillance cameras and ATM systems for banks and credit unions, commercial enterprises, schools and other government agencies. As different branches of security continue to merge and collaborate, Core looks forward to developing relationships that combine Cook’s electronic security expertise and Core’s commitment to protecting IT networks.
Anderson came away from the conference with an insider’s perspective on the newest security issues facing business owners, a wealth of knowledge to pass on to clients, and a community of resources just a phone call away.
"I am excited about the potential for new growth and improvements in security technology and operations," he said. "We always look for ways to keep ourselves at the forefront of the IT world, and Core will continue to look for ways to enhance its clients’ security measures and provide assistance every step of the way."
