Core's Anti-Spam Service Proves Itself to Technology Critic

(11/11/2008)

MEDFORD, OR – November 2008 – It didn’t surprise Core Business Services President Scott Anderson when Red Condor’ MAG (Message Assurance Gateway) anti-spam product got the recent thumbs up from InfoWorld technology critic Roger Grimes.  It did, however, confirm what he and Core’s Director of Technology Levi Daily already knew through research and experience.

“We have been enthusiastic about Red Condor’s anti-spam technology from the day we tested it,” explained Anderson. “Hands down, MAG does the best job of preventing e-mail spam. We’re sold on the product and are totally convinced that it is a major benefit to our business clients.”

In an October 24, 2008 article titled “Red Condor: A minimalist spam appliance,” Grimes wrote that the people of Red Condor challenged him to try out their MAG 2000 product. He agreed, but without a lot of confidence that the product would live up to its promises, based on past experience. In Grimes’ words: “I told the company to send it on, but if it didn't block 100 percent of the spam I was receiving with zero administration as it claimed, I was going to write a scathing review. Red Condor took me up on the challenge, and I have to say the company impressed me.”

Grimes reported that the anti-spam rate of the MAG product was so accurate, he wondered if the Red Condor staff was manually manipulating his in-box. He even called the management to make sure the MAG was doing all the work. They assured him the stats were right. “It was so good I was accusing the vendor of cheating,” Grimes wrote to the InfoWorld technology audience.

Red Condor’s Message Assurance Gateway (MAG) appliances provide unsurpassed email security against internal and external threats such as spam, viruses, spyware, phishing schemes, identity theft, and other dangerous and offensive content.

Grimes writes for InfoWorld Media Group. As the company explains it, they help IT solutions management choose the right technology, within the context of a cohesive strategy, for business impact at their organizations. Rather than merely covering the enterprise technology market, InfoWorld identifies and promotes emerging technology segments that add unique value for the organizations that implement them, as well as the vendors that provide those solutions.
