Outside Looking In...

Network Assessments

Core experts start from the system’s surface then dig deep to perform network assessments that tell all. Like detectives, Core people look for clues to a company’s level of reliance on technology and find out what works and what doesn’t. Along the way, they discover performance positives and take note of the negatives, from hardware deficiencies to outdated programs and system dysfunctions.

In the end, the Core team develops a written final report, handing clients a comprehensive network assessment that covers the full gamut of a company’s computer technology picture. The report not only describes how the network is bridged between computers, it also presents a financial overview related to the hidden costs of system delays and down time.

Core’s extensive network assessments include discussions with owners and managers on their policies and procedures, human resource practices, IT expenditures, production costs and the like. With this information, the Core team understands a client’s business functions in order to make recommendations and solutions targeted toward improving corporate competencies.

The following is a partial list of what’s included in a Core network assessment:

  • An introduction
  • Detailed descriptions of existing hardware and software
  • Conclusions about the current network system
  • Upgrade recommendations
  • Guidelines for best practices
  • Cost analysis
  • A final summary
