Hart Insurance

For more than 60 years, Hart Insurance has provided peace of mind for Rogue Valley residents with a variety of insurance products. To increase their own sense of security, they sought out Core as a second layer of IT protection, working with their internal technology department against potential network issues. The Client: Hart Insurance

Hart Insurance offers a wide array of insurance and related services to individual and commercial clients throughout the Rogue Valley. The independent insurance agency was founded in 1947 and is now one of the largest agencies in Southern Oregon, with approximately 30 employees and locations in both Medford and Grants Pass. Hart’s personal insurance line includes auto, home and flood insurance coverage. They offer commercial insurance for contractors, manufacturers, professional offices, restaurants and more. Hart’s product line also includes life and health insurance, retirement plans and employee benefits.

The Problem: Small IT Staff Seeks Outside Support for Large Projects

Hart’s internal IT staff of one keeps the two offices’ networks running smoothly under day-to-day operations, but adding major projects to that load would require superhuman capabilities. When Hart opted to upgrade their server and data backup systems, seeking out some helping hands made sense to get the project done as quickly as possible.

The Solution: CoreCOMPLEMENT Partnership Adds Second Layer of Protection

In the first collaborative project on Hart’s server, Core technicians worked alongside Hart’s internal IT employee, complementing his existing knowledge of the server with their access to industry partners, teaming up with IBM to finish the project. At the same time, Hart’s staff took control of transferring data and installing computer applications, significantly cutting start-to-finish project time.

The Result: Proactive and Forward-Looking Approach to Data Management

After the success of the first project, Core has continued to work with Hart on a consultative basis to upgrade their data backup systems and create a proactive management solution. Core’s technicians also plan to perform a network assessment to provide feedback with a fresh perspective.
